While mostly operating as a one-person business, where needed I have a vast network of subject matter experts to come in and help out.

Steel detailing and fabrication is a specialization close to my heart. Having grown up on the shop floor as a welder, hung steel in the field and been a steel detailer (with pencil, with CAD and with BIM), the optimization of the entire process from engineering to erection is a passion. I have experience with every aspect of people, process and technology in steel detailing and fabrication ranging from steel detailing to MIS systems, to machine control software, to engineering and design tools. I was the creator of AISC’s Steelday and the BIMSteel Initiatives. Having spent more than 20 years directly in the industry I have an extensive network of people to call on.

I don't think it was a compliment in the sense of our home environment, but at work it pays tremendous dividends. I'm known as someone who fixes things, gets sh!t done, is deliberate, collaborative and intensely strategic with an unwavering focus on customer value. I might be just a little bit competitive too!
